Thomas G Lynch - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Thomas Lynch joined Amarin in January 2000 as Chairman and Non-Executive Director and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Between 1993 and 2004, Mr. Lynch was with Elan Corporation plc where he held a number of positions including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice Chairman. Mr. Lynch spear-headed Elan’s transition from a drug delivery technology provider to a fully integrated pharmaceutical company, through a number of acquisitions, including Athena Neurosciences, Inc. The Athena acquisition brought Elan its programs in multiple sclerosis, autoimmune diseases and Alzheimer’s disease. Mr. Lynch was also a founder of the specialty pharmaceutical company, Warner Chilcott plc. Mr. Lynch is and has been a board member of a number of biotechnology and healthcare companies. Mr. Lynch was a partner in the international accounting firm of KPMG, where he specialized in the provision of international corporate financial services.

Alan Cooke - President and Chief Operating Officer
Alan Cooke joined Amarin in May 2004 as Chief Financial Officer and was subsequently promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the company he spent approximately eight years at Elan Corporation, plc, most recently as Vice President, Global Strategic Planning. Mr Cooke is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ireland) and spent four years with KPMG, Dublin. Mr. Cooke is a member of the Amarin Board of Directors.

Declan Doogan, M.D. - Head of Research and Development
Dr. Doogan joined Amarin in April 2007. Most recently, Dr. Doogan was Senior Vice President and Head of Worldwide Development at Pfizer Global Research & Development. In recent years, he held a number of senior positions in Pfizer in the US and the UK. Dr. Doogan joined Pfizer in 1982, where he led the Zoloft clinical development program. He held positions in the UK and in Japan, where he was initially Medical Director and later head of the company’s development organization. Dr. Doogan holds a Visiting Professorship of Drug Development Science with Kitasato University in Japan. In addition, Dr. Doogan holds a number of non-executive directorships in the US and the UK. Dr. Doogan received his medical degree from Glasgow University in 1975. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine in the UK.

Paul F. Duffy - President-U.S. Commercial Operations
Mr. Duffy joined Amarin in April 2007. Mr. Duffy brings more than 30 years of neuroscience sales and marketing experience with Novartis Pharmaceuticals (formerly Sandoz Pharmaceuticals), having held sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility from 1972 to 2003, leading to his most recent position as U.S. National Sales Director-Neuroscience which he held from 1999 to 2003. Mr. Duffy, most recently Chief Executive Officer of Validus Pharmaceuticals, left Novartis to co-found Alamo Pharmaceuticals. At Alamo, he created a fully integrated commercial pharmaceutical company to market Fazaclo, a reformulation of Novartis’ anti-psychotic drug, Clozaril. Mr. Duffy left Alamo in July 2006, after completing its sale to Avanir Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Keith Wood – Head of Research and Development Operations
Dr. Keith Wood joined Amarin in December 2007. Dr. Wood, a neuroscientist, has 30 years extensive clinical research and drug development experience gained from an academic research position and latterly from collaborations of his own clinical research consultancy with several major pharmaceutical companies. He has specialised in psychiatric and CNS drug development programmes. From a more technical perspective he has acted as a senior consultant re-engineering strategic company processes. In the last five years he has collaborated in the formation and management of a global medical affairs programme which was run as a virtual matrix of outsourced niche providers. Latterly he was responsible for setting up the drug development department of an emergent speciality CNS pharmaceutical company as Director of Drug Development.

Dr. Mehar Manku - VP Research
Dr. Mehar Manku joined Amarin in October 2004 on the acquisition of Laxdale Limited. Dr Manku graduated from Makerere University, Uganda. He continued his studies at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, obtaining his PhD, in 1975. Dr. Manku completed his post-doctoral studies at the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal (affiliate with University of Montreal). He was invited to become the first Director of Scotia Research Institute, in Kentville, Nova Scotia. This research facility employed 75 people, and focused on the research of fatty acids in health and disease. He was also Head of Research and Development at Scotia’s facility in Carlisle, UK. He joined Laxdale Ltd (now Amarin Neuroscience Ltd) in May 2001. He is author and co-author of nearly 250 scientific and technical papers and named inventor on 18 patents in the field of essential fatty acids (EFAs) and Photodynamic therapy PDT. Recently he was appointed Honorary Professor at University of Hull, UK. He is Editor-in-Chief and one of the founding Executive Editors of "Prostaglandin, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids", a well-respected, peer review journal in the field of EFA research. He has worked in the field of EFAs for the past 30 years.

Dr Anthony Clarke - VP Clinical Development
Dr. Anthony Clarke joined Amarin in August 2005. Dr. Clarke was formerly Senior Director, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at Cephalon, Europe. Prior to this, Dr. Clarke was Worldwide Clinical Operations Manager at R.P. Scherer. Dr. Clarke commenced his pharmaceutical career with SmithKline Beecham where he was ultimately Head of CNS, Cardiovascular & Respiratory Research in the UK. Dr. Clarke has broad experience in clinical research in Neurology and Psychiatry including depression, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and migraine.

Darren Cunningham - EVP, Strategic Development and Investor Relations
Darren Cunningham joined Amarin in September 2002. Prior to joining, Mr. Cunningham worked for Elan Corporation, plc, as Manager and then Associate Director of Strategic Planning. Mr Cunningham is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ireland) and trained at PriceWaterhouse in Dublin.

Stuart Sedlack - EVP, Corporate Development
Mr. Sedlack joined Amarin in August 2007 after having spent the last nineteen years in the pharmaceutical and banking industry.  Before joining Amarin, Mr. Sedlack was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for Alba Therapeutics. Prior to this, he was the Global Head of Negotiations, Infectious Diseases for Novartis Pharma AG, based in Basel, Switzerland.  Mr. Sedlack was formerly Vice President, Corporate Development with Élan Corporation, plc, where he was responsible for strategic licensing, investments, portfolio management activities, and restructurings.  Prior to Élan, he served as Director at the University of Maryland Medical System’s technology licensing office and began his career in banking and finance in 1988 working for ABN AMRO Bank, N.V. and MNC International Bank specializing in international trade finance.

David Boal - VP Business Development
David Boal spent seven years working in the Multiple Sclerosis Research Laboratory (Department of Neuropathology, Queens University of Belfast) where he also obtained his BTEC degree in Biomedical Sciences. He has over twenty years experience of the pharmaceutical industry which began with a series of positions of escalating importance in the sales and marketing arena within GD Searle & Co (now Pfizer). From this position Mr. Boal moved into international product management and then Business Development with Scotia, completing a substantial number of commercial deals, before joining PolyMASC (now Valentis Inc.) in a similar licensing role. David became Business Development Director for Amarin Neurosciences Ltd (formerly Laxdale) in April 2001.

Tom Maher - General Counsel and Company Secretary
Mr. Tom Maher was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary in February 2006. Mr. Maher was previously a partner at Matheson Ormsby Prentice solicitors, Dublin. Prior to Matheson Ormsby Prentice, Mr. Maher worked at Elan Corporation Plc., where he held the position of Director and later, Vice President of Legal Affairs. Mr. Maher commenced his legal career at A&L Goodbody Solicitors, Dublin. He holds a law degree from Trinity College Dublin and is an Irish qualified solicitor.

Conor Dalton - VP Finance
Mr. Conor Dalton was appointed Vice-President, Finance in May 2005. Prior to joining Amarin, Mr. Dalton spent approximately eight years with Elan Corporation, most recently as Director of Finance. Mr. Dalton is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
