STRATEGY

Amarin is committed to improving the lives of patients suffering from central nervous system and cardiovascular diseases. Our goal is to be a leader in the research, development and commercialization of novel drugs that address unmet medical patient needs.

Amarin is developing a pipeline of products which balance risk between New Chemical Entities (NCE’s) and improved versions of existing drugs which address specific limitations or unmet medical needs. Amarin also plans to leverage its development capabilities by supplementing its internal development pipeline through acquiring and/or in-licensing products that it can develop or market directly itself in the U.S.

Amarin intends to directly commercialize its neuroscience products in the U.S. via its own commercial infrastructure (to be established in the future) and to out-license or partner its neuroscience product rights outside the U.S. Amarin also intends to out-license or partner its pipeline globally for broader indications such as cardiovascular disease.

Amarin’s cardiovascular strategy is intended to capitalize on its expertise in lipid sciences to create new therapies from our existing family of compounds. Substantial in-market and clinical data exists demonstrating the utility of unsaturated fatty acids in the treatment of dyslipidemia.
