The Lead Independent Director of Amarin’s Board of Directors is appointed by the Board of Directors to (i) Preside at all meetings of the Board at which the Chairman is not present, including executive sessions of the independent directors, (ii) call meetings of independent directors, (iii) function as liaison with the Chairman, (iv) Participate in flow of information to the Board such as board meeting agendas and schedules, (v) Recommend Outside Advisers and Consultants and (vi) Shareholder Communication
