PIPELINE

Amarin's pipeline can be divded into two sections: cardiovascular programs and central nervous system (CNS) programs.  Amarin is currently focused on developing its cardiovascular programs, while the CNS programs will be developed in conjunction with potential partners.

Cardiovascular Programs

Amarin's lead program is AMR101 for hypertriglyceridemia, a prescription grade Omega-3 fatty acid. A Phase 3 program is planned to commence in 2009. Read more>

Amarin is also developing a new generation of lipid compounds based on its internal lipid science expertise. The first of these is expected to enter preclinical testing shortly.

CNS Programs (for partnering)

Amarin has assembled a CNS portfolio comprising both new chemical entities and improved outcome formulations of existing drugs, or 505b2s. Amarin will now partner these programs to advance their development. The CNS portfolio is summarized in the pipeline chart below.
